Provides clothing for all ages at no cost to those in need. Offers many articles of clothing for infants and children. Also has winter coats.

Eligibility: Must be low-income families or individuals in need of clothing.

Just Threads

Just Threads Clothing Bank provides individuals with clothing for job interviews, work attire, athletic apparel, and clothing and accessories for everyday life. The clothing and accessories from Just Threads are available at no cost and can be kept indefinitely. Anyone in need of clothing can visit Just Threads without an appointment during business hours.

My Sister’s Pantry

At My Sister’s Pantry, you can get a hot meal, stock up on groceries and fresh food, and “shop” for clothing.

*** Due to the current situation and social distancing implementation, My Sister’s Pantry is only available for grocery distribution only. Out of concern for your health, there will be no hot meal service and the clothing bank will be closed. When attending, please maintain a 6-foot distance from other people. We will post updates here and on our voicemail at 253-627-1186.***

Please consider donating to My Sister’s Pantry as they are a local organization serving the community. Financial support and donations of food or clothing are always welcome. If you choose to donate financially, your contributions are tax deductible. Regarding food and clothing donations, My Sister’s Pantry accepts non-perishable food items, clean and gently-used clothing, travel-sized hygiene items, and plastic bags. Every gift you make, no matter how big or small has the potential to transform lives. Thank you for your support and giving to someone in need!

Pregnancy Aid of Tacoma

Offers help to women who are pregnant or thinking they might be pregnant. Helps with free pregnancy tests and maternity clothes. Will supply baby items 2-3 weeks before the due date. Baby item may include car-seats, layettes, strollers, tubs, baby furniture, diapers, formula etc., depending on the donations. Also has a small clothing bank for older children in the home, and a small food bank (includes baby food). Assistance is provided once every two months until the youngest child is 5 years old.

Eligibility: For pregnant women and/or families with children 5 years old or younger.

Rainier View Christian Church-Clothing Bank

Eligibility: Serving only those located within these area codes: 98444, 98445, 98446, 98387. Please bring an I.D in case of an identification check.

Tacoma Rescue Mission

Address: 425 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma WA 98402

Hours: Mon/Wed/Fri: 1:30pm – 4pm

Provides 80 beds in a dorm area. 36 cots in the day room and 10 available spots for veterans. As well as accommodating eighty men at night, the facility accommodates day sleepers who work night shifts. Extended stay is possible for men who have jobs and who are trying to become self-sufficient. Men are guaranteed a spot for 30 days if they have not stayed with the Rescue Mission in the past 90 days. The Good Neighbor Cafe is on site and offers free breakfast, lunch and supper. Other services at the Downtown Tacoma Campus include – free showers and hygiene items, free laundry facilities, mail service, and a free clothing room open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 1pm – 4pm.

Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age and be homeless. Photo ID is requested and highly preferred, but in some cases can be obtained while staying at the shelter.
